Frequently Asked Questions
Our main service is to guide you through the entire process of getting your dream log cabin, from initial ideas and design to the final installation and finishing touches. Beyond this, we offer a range of services to make the process seamless, including building and obstacle removal, base laying (both timber and concrete), electrical work, exterior wood finishes, and roofing options like rubber and felt shingles.
Any existing buildings or significant obstacles like large bushes in the area where your new log cabin will be installed must be removed before the delivery date. We can provide a quote for removing these. We will assess your site during the initial consultation to advise on what needs to be cleared to ensure sufficient space for installation.
A firm base is crucial for extending the lifespan of your log cabin. We offer two main types of bases:
Timber Frame Bases: Constructed from pressure-treated timber, these are ideal for damp areas as tey increase airflow underneath the cabin.
Concrete Bases: These provide a very sturdy and long-lasting foundation, recommended for heavier buildings.
We can advise on the most suitable option during our site visit. We can also level the ground for an additional cost if needed.
Yes, our qualified electricians can provide guidance and carry out any internal or external electrical work you may require for your log cabin. We will discuss your electrical needs during the initial site visit.
We offer two main roofing options:
Firestone RubberCover™: A durable, single-ply rubber membrane with a 20-year guarantee.
Felt Shingles: A cost-effective and attractive option made from glass fibre and polymer-reinforced bitumen, offering excellent leak resistance and UV protection.
Additionally, all exterior coating work carried out by us comes with a 10-year guarantee.
